Bengal Brew and Wolf & Bear: facing a fear of cats in Cubao

Face your fears. Val has ailurophobia, a fear of cats, so for this date we went to one of the most well-known cat cafes in Manila.
Bengal Brew
Bengal Brew in Cubao is home to Bengal cats, one of the biggest domestic cat breeds. They’re beautiful, curious and not at all shy, which is exactly what you don’t want if cats make you nervous. Watch the video to see how Val handled it.
Wolf & Bear
Right next to it is Wolf & Bear, a dog cafe, which made the trip a full pet paradise. If you’re more of a dog person, or need a break from the cats, it’s a few steps away.
Good to know
Pet cafes have house rules for the animals’ sake: listen to the staff, don’t pick up the animals unless they say it’s okay, and wash your hands. It’s an easy, different kind of date, and a good one if you’re a little scared and want company while you face it.
