Singapore's most photogenic lane, then Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands and the Supertree light show.

Haji Lane

Haji Lane is a narrow street near Arab Street, lined with murals, colourful shopfronts and small cafes. Almost every wall works as a backdrop, so bring a friend who doesn’t mind taking twenty versions of the same shot. Go early if you want photos without crowds.

Gardens by the Bay

From there we headed to Gardens by the Bay to see the Supertrees, with Marina Bay Sands right behind them. Stay until evening for the Supertree Grove light show. It’s free to watch from the ground, and it’s one of the best things we did in Singapore.

Our tip

Do Haji Lane in the afternoon and Gardens by the Bay at night. It makes for an easy, unhurried day, and you’ll have both the photos and the light show.
